Sermon Notes & Discussion Questions
07 June 2026

On Sunday, Ps Paul shared stories of men who had encounters with God that changed them forever.

1️⃣ What stood out to you from Sunday’s message?

Peter once denied Jesus, but after an encounter with God he stood up and boldly proclaimed Him before thousands.
2️⃣ Can you share a time when you or someone you know boldly stood up for God, even though it was difficult?

It was an encounter with God that moved Isaiah to a place of surrender. In Isaiah 6:8, God asked, “Whom should I send? Who will go for us?” And Isaiah answered, “Here I am. Send me.”
3️⃣ Have you ever experienced God calling you to do something specific for Him, and how did you respond?

Jacob lived under the weight of his name and its meaning, “Deceiver”, until God changed it and redeemed his story.
4️⃣ Is there a label or lie you have believed about yourself?

Like Peter, Isaiah and Jacob, we need to admit our own limitations before we can experience God’s unlimited power.
5️⃣ Why is admitting “I cannot do this without God” such an important part of our walk with Him?

🙏 Prayer Points
Before praying, ask everyone to share any praise reports or answered prayers.
• Luke 11:9-10 says, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” How can we ask, seek, and knock together today, and trust God as a group for your situation?
