Requirements to Receive a Certificate for HFEC
1. Attendance:
You must attend a minimum of 6 out of 8 sessions per term in person. If you know you will miss a session, please communicate with our HFEC Coordinator, Charlene, in advance. She will provide video links for you to catch up and mark you as “present” in our registry for that session. In-person attendance is very important to us.
Please note: Exceptions for missing more than 2 sessions out of 8 are rare. We will be flexible in situations such as work commitments that require travel. However, if your current season of life makes consistent in-person attendance difficult, we kindly ask that you consider enrolling in a future intake.
2. Session Reflection:
After each session, Charlene will send you a link to a form to complete. This form is compulsory and should be submitted by the end of Friday (three days after the specific class). This is not intended to add pressure, but to help our HFEC team ensure you have a solid grasp of the session content. We value your investment in your development and want to ensure you gain the full benefit from each course.
In addition to the compulsory form, Charlene will also include an optional form for further reflection and personal learning, which you may complete if you wish.
Please note: The HFEC Certificate Programme is not accredited, and no formal credit hours are attached to the certificate. However, some students have independently approached institutions they were applying to, shared the details of the certificate programme, and were awarded a certain number of credit hours at the discretion of the institution. Any such communication or outcome remains the sole responsibility of the student.
